Giovanni Savino is a New York City based photographer specialized in editorial, documentary and portrait photography.
He is an accomplished producer and cameraman as well as an audio engineer, expert in live recording on location. Nearly three decades of experience in film and television, learning the trade “hands on”, relying on the advice of some of the best photographers and producers in the annals of TV broadcasting, made Giovanni one of the most flexible, creative and productive professionals in the industry.
In 1982, while he was living in London, he started his own multi-media production company -Magnetic Art- to pursue the documentation of oral traditions and disappearing cultural heritages, a topic that fascinated him since an early age.
In 1997 the company relocated in New York City and Giovanni got involved with several distributors and academic institutions that wholeheartedly encouraged and supported his new research projects.
Today, while constantly engaged in the acquisition of moving and still images related to disappearing or understudied cultural phenomena, Giovanni continues to work in various multimedia fields, always committed to give his clients a content-rich, creative and innovative visual delivery.
